The design reconfigured exceptional ceiling height into the creation of a double height interior space and mezzanine level for a combined 900 sq ft retail use. The high fashion eyewear boutique is comprised of a technical lab, product display and exam rooms and in the trendy NYC Landmark Preservation District of Tribeca.
The new design utilized an existing double height exposed masonry wall and cast iron structural column, washed in a theatrical lighting back drop to create a contrast of product display with ambient color change of the space interior. Bright white projector framing lights punch out product niches in contrast to uniform wash of wall surfaces bathed in the color of the client's logo.
Display fixtures are comprised of various back lighted translucent cast resin materials which emphasize the color of the logo through custom assemblies as counters and formed surfaces throughout the space.
