The Design Alliance received the commission of designing a residence for the Liberian Ambassador to the United Nations. The existing building with its lot is located in the City of New Rochelle, NY. The existing house was fairly large comprising of approximately 6,500 square feet in original condition, which was fairly poor and required extensive renovation.
As part of the design work, The Design Alliance was requested to restore the building to its former design appearance, as well as design a large glass conservatory attached to the house, in the rear garden for the occasional entertainment of diplomats. Part of the design commission was to address the surrounding landscape of the home, in addition to full restoration, and aesthetic design of its interior.
